Privacy policy

This policy explains what LFG Sites (lfgsites.com) collects and why. We are a small team in London. Contact for anything in this policy: privacy@lfgsites.com.

What we collect

Public business information: a business's website address, its public pages, the business name, trade, town, phone number and address shown on those pages, and the results of our automated checks of the website. Business email addresses published on the business's own website for enquiries. For companies in the United Kingdom, Ireland and India only, where no address is published, a work email address for one decision-maker obtained from a licensed data provider. If you use the free audit tool and choose to leave your email, we store that email with your score. If you buy a report or website, our payment provider (Stripe) processes your payment; we store your email, what you bought and the Stripe identifiers, never your card details.

Why

To check small business websites and offer the business a free score and a paid report or website, to deliver what you buy, to answer your replies, and to keep records required by law and by the competition in which this service takes part.

Legal basis

Legitimate interests (a short assessment is available on request), and contract when you buy something. We only email a business once, plus one follow-up, unless it replies. Every email identifies us and includes a one-click unsubscribe. Where local law requires it, we email only companies, never sole traders, and we honour every objection immediately and permanently.

Retention

Businesses we never contacted are deleted after 30 days. Contacted businesses and customers are kept until 30 November 2026 for the competition audit, then deleted, apart from records we must keep for tax purposes.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete your data, correct it, or tell you what we hold by replying to any email or emailing privacy@lfgsites.com. Deletion requests are actioned automatically: we delete the data and add the address to a permanent suppression list so we never contact it again. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).

Cookies and analytics

We use only necessary cookies plus one cookie that remembers your visual theme and price offer. Our analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) is cookieless and collects no personal data.

Who we share data with

Stripe (payments), Resend (sending and receiving email), Google (PageSpeed Insights, which fetches the website being checked), our hosting provider, and the AI model providers that generate report text from the public pages and findings. We do not sell data.
